Welcome, readers, to the inaugural post on The Hofstra Chronicle’s blog covering the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Here you will see The Chronicle’s multimedia coverage of the conventions, from Denver, the site of the DNC, and from St. Paul, Minn., the site of the RNC.

Writing on this blog will be Samuel Rubenfeld, senior news editor of The Chronicle, along with reporters from Hofstra University’s radio station, WRHU. We will all be on location, speaking to delegates and others on the ground. At each convention, two students will represent the University’s Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency, directed by Professor Meena Bose.

This blog is not a one-way affair. Anyone who wishes to leave a comment may do so, and I encourage it. We at The Chronicle look forward to your feedback.

–Samuel Rubenfeld
